Wuxi Suntech has signed a purchase agreement with Leye Solar, a
wholly-owned subsidiary of LONGi, to buy 180MW of mono-si PV cells
within a 12-month period. Under the agreement, the amount of contract in the first seven months
would be at least RMB270 million, while the amount for the rest five
months will be rearranged.
Leye Solar has announced to invest RMB 610 million in constructing
1GW of high-efficiency mono-si PV module facility. Regarding the latest
contract signed with Wuxi Suntehc, LONGi hopes the agreement will help
the company to expand its market share of mono-si PV modules as well as
improve its future revenue by leading the way to develop high efficient
mono-si products.
